Problem
GiftTree faced challenges with their information architecture, making it difficult for the users navigate through the website. To meet growing demand for personalized gift baskets, a flexible customization system was developed, allowing customers to choose items, add personal messages, select date of delivery and select packaging. To handle high-volume orders during peak seasons, they needed a robust system to bulk upload the orders from corporate customers with all shipping addresses to be different. They also wanted all orders to go through their custom built WMS system from Shopify Plus. Not only that the conversion rate improvement and customer experience improvement was an ongoing challenge for them.

Building a small little custom Shopify application for WMS integration enabled real-time inventory updates, ensuring accurate stock levels on the website. Customers benefited from enhanced transparency with real-time order tracking, allowing them to stay informed throughout the delivery process.
Outcome
GiftTree enhanced its product discoverability by implementing a structured categorization and filtering system, simplifying navigation for customers to find gifts based on occasion, price range, or type. With the help of Shopify Development, customizable gift basket options allow customers to personalize their gifts, making each one unique.
To further improve the shopping experience, GiftTree integrated an AI-powered tool that suggests culturally appropriate messages for recipients. Operational efficiency was also enhanced with the adoption of a robust Warehouse Management System (WMS) that automates inventory tracking and ensures timely deliveries, especially during peak seasons.
